The highly anticipated appointment with the 2018 Orient Festival in Naples is back at the Mostra d'Oltremare, again this year with a rich program of events.
From Friday to Sunday 14 16 September 2018 returns the Orient Festival a Napoli, the event that celebrates oriental culture in all its aspects: from art to music through gastronomy and dance. Three days full of shows and events at the Mostra d'Oltremare, in the context of Naples meets the world.
A succession of performances and shows that from 10.30 am to 23.00 pm all three days will be repeated to make known to the audience of the Festival, always numerous, the fascination of oriental cultures. The countries present this year are: India, China, Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia , Vietnam, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Nepal, Rajasthan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Tibet.
A great one will be set up Oriental bazaar with typical products and objects, there will be no lack of refreshment points where you can appreciate the gastronomy of the eastern countries represented at the festival with their traditional dishes.

Among the shows that you can attend during the festival we point out the Taiko lab, or the concert of Japanese drums; the dance of the lions on the poles, a traditional Chinese show, two lions will perform their choreography suspended on poles almost 2 meters high; Bhangra, a form of music and dance that originates in the Punjab region of Pakistan and India; Mongolian contortion and chinese Kong-fu tea.
Exhibitions
There will be exhibitions, among the most varied, thanks to which you can immerse yourself in oriental cultures through their history, among the many we recommend: the reproduction of a Japanese-style village complete with Zen garden; the reproduction of one of the symbols of ancient and modern Japan: a typical Sumo arena; the exhibition of katane and that of chopsticks; the exhibition of samurai armor; the exhibition of origami and that of Japanese dolls.
Dining
The Festival's audience will also have the opportunity to taste the typical dishes and recipes of many restaurants present at this edition of the event. Indian cuisine, Thai, Japanese, Egyptian, Vietnamese and Moroccan as well as many proposals not only oriental but also biological, vegetarian and vegan.

The event "Health and Wellness: from East to West"Is the part dedicated to the wellness of the Festival of the East that embraces all the disciplines of the psychological well-being. Visitors will be able to experience and discover for free a great variety of oriental disciplines, from treatments for the body and mind, to massages, cosmetics, herbs, teas that can be enjoyed for free.
