FAI 2020 days in Naples and Campania: discovering extraordinary places

The appointment with the FAI 2020 Days arrives: two days to discover the most beautiful outdoor places in Naples and Campania!

On the occasion of the FAI 2020 Days, Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June you can visit gods extraordinary places, hidden jewels, which will be opened in an entirely exceptional way both at Napoli than in the other cities of the Campania.

For this special edition of 2020, which aims to enhance the beauty of our country, you will have the opportunity to visit extraordinary outdoor places, so as to also comply with the social distancing rules for Covid-19.

In addition, this event also has an important purpose, in addition to that of enhancing the lesser known places of our country, that is to say collect voluntary donations which will then be fully invested in the restoration, protection, enhancement of the Italian art and nature heritage.

To participate in the event it will be necessary to carry out the booking on the official website (link at the end of the article). Reservations will be accepted subject to availability and ed by Friday 26 June at 15:00.

FAI Days program

Naples and its province 

  • Naples, the San Vincenzo Pier, it is a very old pier that is being tried to be made accessible to the public because it is currently partly owned by the navy.
  • Pozzuoli (NA), Rione Terra. A walk to discover the soul that gives life to the city of Pozzuoli, suspended between sea and volcanoes.
  • Herculaneum (NA) - Villa Campolieto. The villa is a beautiful Vesuvian Villa located along the Golden Mile, in the municipality of Ercolano with a panoramic terrace overlooking the Gulf of Naples and Vesuvius.
  • Nola (NA) - Basilicas of Cimitile. A large and beautiful basilica complex that was born thanks to Meropio Ponzio Anicio Paolino (San Paolino), who enriched the Cimitilese site with a real flowering of basilicas and welfare constructions, attracting a considerable number of pilgrims.

Campania 

  • Benevento - Bike ride to Sant'Angelo a Piesco.
  • Riardo (CE) - Masseria Mozzi-Masseria delle Sorgenti Ferrarelle. The Ferarrelle FAI Oasis is one of the most interesting territorial realities in the Upper Casertano area.
  • Salerno - Majolica dome of the Church of SS. Annunziata. The beautiful dome of the church of the Annunziata was built with riggiole "ambrogette" and mounted on wood with an ancient system, screwed without the use of glue or cement, an extraordinary and very resistant system.
  • Salerno - Municipal Villa.
