The beautiful Christmas concert of the Domus Ars in Naples is inspired by the traditional Cantata dei Pastori and will be broadcast online!
In Domus Ars of the historic center of Naples, in via Santa Chiara, there will be a nice Christmas concert inspired by the famous Cantata dei Pastori and will be edited by Carlo Faiello. The event, of course, will be streaming and can be experienced online, due to the Coronavirus health emergency, but it will still give us many emotions.
Therefore, the 25 December 2020, we can tune in to Facebook page of Domus Ars and let ourselves be carried away by emotions. The show will be online until December 30.
The Cantata dei Pastori
The Christmas concert is produced by "Il Canto di Virgilio" with the contribution of the Campania Region and is scheduled many songs inspired by tradition with a touch of innovation. They range from Roberto De Simone to Raffaele Viviani, from Carlo Faiello to Sant'Alfonso Maria de 'Liguori for a lineup in perfect Christmas theme between music and poetry.
The evening also includes a nice one contamination between cultured and popular elements of the repertoire of Campania.
The artists and musicians of the concert
John Mauriello is the real star of the evening, an important personality, founder of the New Company of Popular Singing and custodian of the famous Cantata dei shepherds version of the 70s.
With him on stage there are singers / actresses Marianita Carfora and Elisabetta D'Acunzo and the family tradition Matteo Mauriello. To the instruments there are the components ofSanta Chiara Orchestra Ensemble playing the music elaborated by Carlo Faiello. The orchestra is composed of Gerardo Buonocore on piano and accordion, Sasà Brancaccio on double bass, Pasquale Nocerino on violin, Edo Puccini on guitar. Instead, the arrangements and musical direction are by Carlo Faiello with lyrics and music by Roberto De Simone, Carlo Faiello, Raffaele Viviani , Alfonso Maria De 'Liguori and other traditional pieces.
