The ANM company from Naples has announced that it will finally be there reopening of the Acton lift. Reopens to the public Monday 18 October 2021 and the times will be the ordinary ones.
Here are the following:
- on weekdays it will be open from 7.00 to 21.30;
- on holidays it will be open from 7.00 to 14.00.
Recall that the Acton lift is a free connection from Piazza del Plebiscito, from where via Cesario Console starts, in via Ferdinando Acton, near the entrance to the Galleria Vittoria, which is currently closed to traffic.
Maintenance work on the Acton lift
The plant had been closed to allow for work on general maintenance and check the mechanical parts, the various electrical equipment, cables and connections.
Pending the reopening, the connecting stairs, also near the Galleria Vittoria, were open to the public and could be used in place of the lift.
