Hundreds of domestic and international flights were canceled for it Enav strike, or the National Body for Flight Assistance, which is taking place today, July 26 2021 and which obviously created a lot of inconvenience among travelers.
Currently only the airline Alitalia has published the list of canceled flights which will be about 128, however according to the estimate made by Corriere della Sera, there should be more or less 500 canceled flights that will cause inconvenience to more than 65 thousand people.
The strikes will also affect the low cost airlines Ryanair, Wizz Air and EasyJet.
The air strike
Today, July 26, 2021, the ENAV strikes, the company that manages air traffic in Italy, and the Milan Area Control Center are scheduled, a strike that will last dat 08:00 to 20:00.
However, ENAC, or the National Civil Aviation Authority, confirms that in some time slots, i.e. from 07:00 to 10:00 and from 18:00 to 21:00, the flights will still be guaranteed.
Alitalia invites all those who have booked a flight from 10:00 to 20:00 on July 26, 2021 to check the status of their flight before arriving at the airport and to consult the place to check on which flight they have been rebooked in case of cancellation.
As for other airlines such as Ryanair, Wizz Air and easyJet, these have not currently published the list of canceled flights.
Guaranteed flights
Despite the strike, noneflights must be guaranteed, ENAC has in fact published a list connections with the various islands, but with a single daily frequency, clarifying that the arrival at their destination of all national flights in progress will be ensured.
Protected domestic flights are 27, to these are added 7 with the Middle East, one with Southeast Asia, two with Japan and Korea, six with North America and two with Africa.
