Capodimonte Museum, the Porcelain Cabinet will open with over 6000 pieces

The wonderful Museum of Capodimonte in Naples will open to the public on Porcelain cabinet. The news was announced in a meeting in the presence of the president De Luca and the director Sylvain Bellenger.

The staging of the exhibition, which will contain beyond 6000 pieces between ceramics and porcelain, is made possible by the collaboration with CDP, or Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, group on cultural activities, training and social inclusion, which will then move on to 12 Italian cities:

  • Ancona
  • Bari
  • Bologna
  • Brescia
  • Cagliari
  • Florence
  • GenoVa
  • Palermo
  • Torino
  • Venezia
  • Verona

The collaboration between the Museum and CDP

Il Museum of Capodimonte, known all over the world with an exhibition area of ​​over 15.000 square meters and a heritage of about 47.000 works, will soon open a new section that will be dedicated to ceramics and porcelain.

Thanks to the partnership with CDP, the latter will be responsible for setting up the Cabinet, in collaboration with Federico Forquet and Angela Carola Perrotti. The rooms that will contain the wonderful exhibition will be 10 and the porcelains that you can admire derive from the Bourbon Court and have been collected since 1872, from director of the Royal House of Savoy.

The porcelain on display will be:

  • Those of Vienna, arrived in Naples from the wife of King Ferdinand IV
  • From Berlin
  • Of Sèvres
  • By Dagoty

The exhibition will therefore further enrich the entire artistic heritage of the Museum.
