The appointment with the Chestnut Festival of Calvanico is back: for the 41st edition two weekends to spend together between traditions and fun!
For two weekends from 4 to 6 and from 11 to 13 October 2019 a Calvanico, a municipality in the province of Salerno, will be held the 41th edition of the Chestnut Festival.
Rich in fibers, minerals and countless beneficial properties, the castagna has always been identified as the undisputed symbol of autumn and obviously as the protagonist of the six evenings. In fact, during the event, thanks to the presence of food and wine stands, you can taste the excellent chestnuts and typical products, first and second courses, various desserts based on castagnaccio and the exquisite roasted chestnuts.
The event organized from the Parish of the Holy Savior with the direction of Don Vincenzo Pierri, from the Sagra Committee and from the Municipality of Calvanico, presided by the mayor Francesco Gismondi, wants to be not only promoter of the local traditions but also a moment of aggregation and sharing.
During the festival there will also be moments dedicated to fun, between showcooking of important chefs, trekking, sports, educational workshops and etnofolk music.
