Natale Napulitano, the ancient festivals of the city

Thanks to the stories of Giovan Battista del Tufo, Emanuele Bidera and other travelers, the public, directly from their home, will be able to take part in a truly special experience and relive the magic of Christmas in the city through those words.

We will therefore start from 8 December 1633 when the city of Naples welcomed the Prince of Poland and Sweden and for this occasion the Viceroy built a prestigious procession station in honor of the Immaculate Conception right in the courtyard of the Palace.

You will know the ancient customs of the city like that of Passo del Ceppo in the period from 8 to 24 December, when the citizens embellished their homes and prepared traditional foods of the period.

In short, an appointment that you cannot miss to learn about the ancient traditions of Naples during the Christmas period as well as curiosity and history.
