The inconveniences concerning the Circumvesuviana, in fact, on the route of interest Naples - Sorrento, starting from Monday 7 March 2022, will be canceled two stops.
The decision is made known by the EAV, or l'Volturno Autonomous Body, which stated that the passenger service at the stops of Villa delle Ginestre and Via del Monte it will only be guaranteed on the route Naples - Poggiomarino, precisely because in the line Naples - Sorrento these two stops will be permanently eliminated.
The controversy over the decision
A decision by the EAV to eliminate two stops on the Naples-Sorrento route, which has sparked discomfort and agitation both among the travelers themselves who travel every day using the Circumvesuviana and among politicians who find the news unacceptable.
Indeed, the parliamentarian M5S Luigi Gallo it has so commented the decision:
An incomprehensible gesture. Our former minister of culture Bonisoli has committed to an investment that exceeds 2 million euros for the redevelopment of Villa delle Ginestre. Eliminating the stop means not only penalizing the territory but also making all the relaunch planning linked to the air for which one is investing vanish. I ask the leaders to return immediately to this senseless decision.
