Dante's Inferno at the Lapis Museum in the Pietrasanta Church in Naples

Two special appointments will take place at the Lapis Museum, in the Chiesa della Pietrasanta in the heart of the historic center of Naples, on Tuesday December 27 2022 is Wednesday January 4 2023, with two shifts at 18:00 and 21:00.

The event is titled Dante's Inferno and the guests, guided by Dante himself, will enter the tunnels dug into the bowels of the city of Partenope and will cross different places, such as:

  • The Greco-Roman cistern
  • The Prince's Pool
  • Tuff Caca
  • The anti-aircraft shelter
  • The room of the moon
  • The Bombardment Room

In each place they will have the honor of meeting special characters, including Ulysses, Paul e Francesca, Minos, Count Ugolino and many other protagonists of the first Canticle of the Divine Comedy.

A journey with special encounters

The show at the Lapis Museum will be a fascinating and evocative journey between the lines of divine comedy.

In fact, the great poet, Dante Alighieri, will meet many characters in this story of his. He will free Virgil from the she-wolf, from the loin and from the lion, he will meet his beloved Beatrice.

And then again Cerberus, Pluto, the Furies, Megera, Aletti and Tesifon, Farinata Degli Uberti, Cavalcante Cavalcanti. There will also be Ulysses from the famous 'You weren't made to live like brutes but to follow virtues and knowledge', Count Ugolino mourning his despair and finally Lucifer.
