The temporary traffic device with traffic prohibition during the Naples City Half Marathon on Sunday 4 February 2018.

Sunday 4 February 2018 takes place the Naples City Half Marathon in some streets of the city and, to allow runners to travel all the routes included in the marathon route, a temporary traffic device from 8.00 to 11.00.

The journey starts at Fuorigrotta and returns to the district at Mostra d'Oltremare, passing through the Promenade of Via Caracciolo e via Partenope, making this beautiful sport activity even more special.

For this reason, there will be the traffic ban on various roads during the morning. Here are all the details.

Traffic device

  • Starting at 8: 00 11 to: 30 and in any case until the need ceases, there is a ban on transit and circulation for all vehicles, excluding the means of the organizing committee, the police forces, the Civil Protection in the following streets: viale JF Kennedy (in front of the entrance to the Exhibition D'Oltremare), via Giuglio Cesare, Piazza Italia, via Fuorigrotta, Posillipo gallery (so-called Laziale 2km), piazza Sannazaro, via Sannazaro, via Francesco Caracciolo, piazza della Vittoria, via Partenope, via Nazario Sauro, via Ammiraglio Ferdinanado Acton, via Cristoforo Colombo in the protected lane, via Nuova Marina, via Amerigo Vespucci, via Ponte della Maddalena, via Sant'Erasmo / via Alessandro Volta, in the opposite direction in the protected lane in via Alessandro Volta, via Amerigo Vespucci, via Nuova Marina, via Cristoforo Colombo, via Alcide De Gasperi, via Depretis, via Municipio, via Vittorio Emanuele III, via San Carlo, piazza Trieste and Trento, piazza del Plebiscito, via
    Cesario Consul, via Santa Lucia, turn right into via Partenope (14km), piazza della Vittoria, via Francesco
    Caracciolo, via Sannazaro, piazza Sannazaro and back to the Mostra D'Oltremare where the athletes will enter from via Romolo Grassi
  • 5:00 am - 11:30 am and in any case until the need ceases, the ban on transit and circulation in the Posillipo tunnel (so-called Laziale) and in viale JF Kennedy;
  • 8:00 am - 11:30 am and in any case up to the end of the ban on transit and circulation in via Claudio and in the underpass of via Claudio and in piazzale Vincenzo Tecchio (now Piazzale Ascarelli) and prohibition of transit in via Francesco Caracciolo in the section between the confluence of viale Dohrn and piazza della Vittoria; the obligation to all vehicles coming from roads or areas that intersect the passage of the race
    stop, respecting the reports of the supervisory bodies
  • 7:30 am - 10:30 am and in any case until the need ceases, there is a one-way street in the lane delimited at m 3,50 hotels side in via Partenope and via N. Sauro, up to via Cesario Console and there will be a lane delimited in piazza Sannazaro to allow the anti-clockwise rotation to vehicles.
  • In addition, the means of transport will change the routes and stops falling in the streets of the marathon
  • 5 pm: 00 allow two-way traffic in the Quattro Giornate tunnel, in the section of Salita della Grotta, between the intersection of Piazza Piedigrotta and the entrance to the Gallery.
  • 5:00 am - 11:30 am suspend:
    a) the cycle path, in the stretches of road used by the foot race;
    b) the taxi station in via Santa Lucia, at the confluence with via Partenope;
    c) paid parking in via Lucilio, at the confluence with via Nazario Sauro;
    d) paid parking in the square in front of the San Paolo stadium, entry height Distinti.
