On the occasion of the Epiphany, the morning of 6 January 2018 one will be organized special guided tour a Piazza Mercato in Naples.

During the path the story of the old woman will be told that gives candy and sweets to the good children, the customs and traditions both pagan and Christian linked to this ancient party, the origins of the Piazza and the church of Carmine.

Furthermore, we will talk about the figure of the revolutionary Masaniello which led a terrible revolt against the abuses of the Spanish government. Finally, you will cross Piazza del Carmine and you will visit the church of Sant'Eligio Maggiore, with his famous watch.

A surprise the Befana will arrive to distribute confectionery to all the participants. The Piazza Mercato area, in fact, is known for its traditional stalls set up between the 5 and the 6 January and open all night to pack the characteristic socks full of sweets of all kinds.
