Many religious celebrations with fireworks for the Feast of Carmine 2016 in Naples!
Starting from the 6 July 2016 great celebrations in Naples for the festival dedicated to Mary of Mount Carmel, better known as the Feast of Carmine.
This is the last religious festival, organized only with the funds obtained from the donations of the faithful to the Madonna Bruna. An event that involves thousands of people, both in the days before with the various religious services, and in the evening before the day of celebration with the show of fireworks and the traditional fire of the bell tower of the Sanctuary. This year, however, the faithful will be disappointed because due to the renovation work on the bell tower, the evocative fire will not be there.
It was an emotional moment in which the bell tower was covered with fire showers to simulate a real fire that was only extinguished when the painting of the Virgin of Carmine arrived. This religious festival has ancient origins, just think that during the reign of the Bourbons, the sovereigns of Naples donated every year to the Virgin, two barrels of pyrical dust for the external performances.
