The Archaeological Park of Herculaneum reopens, with special rates and safety measures provided for the current Coronavirus emergency.

From today 2 June 2020 reopens to the public on Ercolano Archaeological Park, in full compliance with the safety standards envisaged for the current pandemic situation by Coronavirus.

The reopening of the Archaeological Park

Excellent news for the Municipality of Herculaneum who finally sees the opportunity to reopen their visitors Archaeological Park, an enchanting place full of history.

The inputs to the site will take place through the various entries of Avenue of the Herculaneum Papyri e Corso Resina and visitors will have to respect the entrance for time slots of about 15 minutes and only 15 people will be able to access at a time, with prior control of body temperature and obligation to use mask.

Until October 2020 access times to this beautiful place will be from 10: 30 to 19: 30, with last entry at 18:00.

The day of weekly closing Tuesday is scheduled and the periodical will be held on that occasion sanitation.

With regard to ticket fares, will be purchasable exclusively online on the TicketOne website and with an additional presale cost of 1,50 euros.

A discount is foreseen for the ticket single from 10 euros, While young people between 18 and 25 years will have the opportunity to enter only 2 euro.

A. Will also be available soon subscription of 13 euros which will give the opportunity for a calendar year to access the archaeological site whenever you want and participate in all initiatives or exhibitions.

The splendid treasures to visit

All visitors will have the opportunity to access the Pavilion of the Boat and then Antiquarium where there is the permanent exhibition entitled Splendors. The luxury of ornaments in Herculaneum, in which there are 200 objects that belonged to the ancient inhabitants.

Access to the archaeological area will take place through the Martusciello Gallery and from there the visitor will move in a circular path visiting the excavation.

People with walking difficulties or disability they can contact the staff at the entrance to obtain information on the suitable route to visit.
