Italian actor and director Jerry Calà had a moment of great fear in the night between Friday and Saturday, when he had a heart attack in Napleswhere he was filming a movie.

Thanks to promptness of assistance and the professionalism of the Mediterranean Clinic of Naples, Calà underwent surgery which made it possible to minimize the damage to the coronary arteries.

Jerry Calà's testimony

In a phone call to the television program "La Vita in Diretta" on Rai 1, Jerry Calà expressed his gratitude against the medical team who saved him:

Finally I was discharged with full marks from the Mediterranean Clinic in Naples where they really did a wonderful job. I have never seen so much diligence and such speed that it has caused just the least possible damage that I could have, because in these cases the later the intervention takes place with the application of the stents and the more there is danger that there will be damage to the coronary. The damage was very limited thanks to this fantastic Neapolitan team that saved my life

Calà also revealed that he has kept the irony even in the clinic, despite the critical situation:

Except they were all my fans in that OR, so they were like, 'Do you get offended if we ask you lust?' and they laughed to death, without detracting from the precision with which they saved my life. It was an evening that I will certainly never forget for the rest of my life. Just as I will never forget Naples, where I chose to set the film 'Who kidnapped Jerry Calà?', a city that Mara also loves very much, then we'll talk about it later. Now I have to do some real retired life
