After years of works and delays, it seems that line 6 of the Naples Metro is proceeding with a new step towards entry into operation.
The state of the works: the Arco Mirelli construction site at La Torretta is complete
According to the city councilor for Mobility, Edoardo Cosenza, the construction site of the Arco Mirelli station, located in the Torretta area of Naples, is now close to closure for the completion of the works.
Green areas and gardens have already been completed and there are only a few finishing touches for putting the station into operation.
The Mostra-Town Hall section it should be operational by July 2024.
The train storage depot problem
One of the main problems of line 6 was that of not having a depot where trains can be stored.
However, thanks to the agreement with the State Railways, it will come soon delivered the new deposit, which will allow you to have bigger trains and to ensure greater efficiency at the service.

ANM, the public transport company of Naples, just hired the top 25 bus drivers indefinitely.
However, the ranking of candidates exceeds 500 units, which will make it possible to draw on the personnel necessary for the new electric buses and for the increase in the vehicles on line 1, but also for the commissioning of line 6.
