The importance of the Neapolitan "Crib" told with a series of events and conferences in the historic center of Naples
"Do you like it or crib?" he used to ask the great Eduardo in the comedy Natale in casa Cupiello, thus also showing the fundamental distinction that exists between the Crib typically Italian and the Crib Neapolitan.
Ours, the Neapolitan one known throughout the world since the 18th century and which has contributed to spreading that'Art Nativity unique in its kind, it is full of symbols and values that not only refer to the search for Redemption, but also make clear the importance of multiculturalism and coexistence between peoples.
E multicultural it is the Neapolitan Presepio, whose characters tell stories of freed slaves, exiles and overwhelmed, who through their past lead us in a path of solidarity and tolerance.
For these reasons the exhibition "Memory of the future, the paths of the Nativity scene - Roads of brotherhood and multiculturalism", organized under the Universal Forum of Cultures, is divided into a series of exhibitions, conferences, workshops and guided tours inspired by the Neapolitan crib art.
The events will take place in the historic center of Naples until November 29 2014 and a busy program of interesting initiatives will be envisaged. We propose it below.
