An extraordinary discovery was made in Pompeii: a unique wedding chariot was found!

It is an extraordinary find, one of a kind, which has emerged almost completely intact from the excavations that archaeologists are carrying out in the area Civita Giuliana, north of Pompeii.
The new discovery in Pompeii
The wonderful discovery that was made in the Archaeological Park of Pompeii is a large ceremonial chariot with four wheels, still equipped with the elements in iron and decorations made of bronze and tin. The imprints of the organic elements are still visible, such as the ropes and the remains of vegetable decorations.
In particular, an excavation of well 6 meters deep compared to the street level, made possible by an exceptional and competent team. The place where the wedding chariot was found is a two-story porch, with the wooden floor.
Due to the fragility of the materials the team had to continue with a Micro excavation and every time we found a void we proceeded with the technique of making casts, pouring plaster into the cavities.
This made it possible to keep the rudder, the wagon seat, the ropes and ropes and thus have this wonderful find in its entirety.
