Ecological Sunday in Naples, with one ticket unlimited travel on all means of transport ANM
The first ecological Sunday of the year in Naples will be held on Sunday 10 January 2016. As always, the circulation of all cars (except electric ones) will be prohibited for four hours, 9 pm: 30 13 to: 00.
The news is that you can travel all day on Sunday on all means of public transport ANM buying only a single ticket to 1 euro.
Citizens and tourists can then take advantage of unlimited rides on the underground (Line 1), about four funiculars and on board the bus, tram and trolleybus lines for the whole day and for all the times that they want it. On buses, trams and trolley buses ANM will be enough validate the ticket only once, on first use, to use the subway (Line 1) and the four funiculars instead, the ticket must be validated at each access through the turnstiles.
Il ticket it will be possible buy at the usual outlets: tobacconists, newsstands; “ANM point” of Municipio station (Metro Line 1), Parco Margherita station (Chiaia funicular) P.za Garibaldi, P.za Vittoria and Via Brin parking; at automatic ticket machines in the station.
To make this decision was the mayor Luigi de Magistris, and represents one of the awareness-raising actions for the fight against pollution developed by the Department of the Environment of the Municipality of Naples. An initiative that aims to stimulate the use of public transport and to reward those who choose not to use the car regardless of traffic blocks.
