Alessandro Gassman, Toni Servillo, Simone Cristicchi, Claudio Bisio, Giuliana De Sio, Silvio Orlando, among the protagonists of the performances of the 2014 / 2015 season of the Bellini Theater in Naples
Il Bellini Theater of Naples presented yesterday morning new 2014 / 2015 theater programming, after a successful season characterized by interesting shows that filled the bill up to last month, reaching the 250 days of performances and attracting 70.000 spectators.
Daniele Russo and Gabriele Russo, artistic directors of the Teatro Bellini, sons of the famous Tato Russo, have reminded journalists and the public at a press conference that the theater celebrates the 150 years of "life", characterized, in recent times, by an increasing number of experimental activities, including summer reviews, presentations of films and books, theatrical productions also exported abroad.
For the first time the Teatro Bellini, which also includes the experimental room dedicated to new drama Little Bellini, decided to merge both submissions by submitting a single theater season for the year 2014/2015 which will last from October 2014 to May 2015. Once again, to characterize the shows to be held in the splendid hall in via Conte di Ruvo, there will be an increasingly varied offer that will leave room for any form of theater.
Special guest of the press conference the famous actor and director Alessandro Gassman, which takes care of the show's direction Someone flew over the cuckoo's nest, based on the novel of the same name by Ken Kesey, whose film version was directed by Miloš Forman, scheduled from 7 to 19 April 2015. Gassman, staged for the first time at the Bellini Theater with one of his shows, expressed his enthusiasm towards a theater that courageously tries to change the city of Naples, enhancing its artistic and cultural resources.
The new billboard of the Teatro Bellini will open, unusually, with Greenaway at the Theater, film screening (out of subscription) directed by Peter Greenaway, to testify the inseparable link between the arts, such as that of theater and cinema. In this regard, the theatrical version of Clockwork Orange, directed by Gabriele Russo, with Daniele Russo and music by Morgan.
Space also for the Neapolitan dramaturgy with the show by Eduardo De Filippo The voices of dentro, of and with Toni Servillo, and with the show by Annibale Ruccello Night of a woman with guests, interpreted by Giuliana De Sio.
Among the "classics" scheduled at the Bellini Theater The merchant of Venice with Silvio Orlando, directed by Valerio Binasco, The Inspector General by Gogol, by Damiano Michieletto e Master Don Gesualdor, by Guglielmo Ferro. Also staged works of author theater such as Orchidee, the new show by Delbono, and Emma Dante with Me, nobody and Polyphemus, in which he acted as an actress.
Among the novelties of the season the show of Simone Cristicchi 18 warehouse, focused on the foibe, the comedy of Claudio Bisio Father and Son, directed by Michele Serra, and the new theatrical work of Teresa Mannino, The twenty-three was born.
To enchant the fans of dance and visual performances the show of the Momix Alchemy, the Compagnia Danza Flux and ballet de Sleeping Beauty. Do not miss the Harlem Gospel Choir ed The magic Flute by Mozart performed by the Piazza Vittorio Orchestra.
From this year the Teatro Bellini will also inaugurate new experimental activities in collaboration with the 5 Internal Theater, including public analysis studios, theater workshops, a course for theater organizers and even a special workshop for spectators.
