The Bellini Theater in Naples

Bellini Theater of Naples

Theater

The nineteenth-century Teatro Bellini was built by the will of Nicola Lacapra Sabelli on the occasion of the so-called reclamation of the Fosse del Grano which provided for a general redevelopment of the area. From a circular-shaped theater, it was passed to a larger theater with a horseshoe-shaped layout, five tiers of boxes and a continuous-loggia order.

Following the inexorable decline due to the Second World War, the theater was restored to its former glory and since then has been the protagonist of lucky theatrical seasons.
