At the Teatro Tram of Porta'Alba, the Jamais Vu show debuts, a fun comedy about amnesia that strikes an unlikely gang of robbers.
On the stage of the Tram Theater of Naples, located in Port'Alba, will debut from 4 to 6 May 2018, Jamais Vu, a surreal and dramatic show produced by Collective Lunation in collaboration with the Campania Festival Foundation. This original theatrical piece, written and directed by Eduardo Di Pietro, was already premiered at the Fringe of Napoli Teatro Festival Italia 2015. On stage actors Eduardo Di Pietro, Giulia Esposito, Vincenzo Liguori, Gennaro Monforte and Laura Pagliara.
Jamais Vu it is an expression whose meaning is opposite to that of Deja Vu, and indicates an oversight, amnesia, what strikes a gang of robbers who meets after trying a daring robbery at the National Bank.
The protagonists of the story are a ruined researcher, a failed businessman, a former worker and his wife, who are improvised robbers but are forced to face an unexpected event, an accident that has ruined their plans and due to which each of them denounces partial amnesia. All have lost fragments of memory and, consequently, no one remembers where the stolen money has ended.
In the course of the pièce they follow each other paradoxical situations, partial narrations and fragmented memories, imagination and half-truths are mixed, with the aim of discovering the guilty and the stolen money.
The show, as stated by the playwright, director and actor of Jamais Vu Eduardo Di Pietro, takes the opportunity to investigate some unconscious mechanisms implemented by our mind: «The unreal is present and influences, mutes and determines our existences to a greater extent than what we usually think. Even our past behaves the same way: we orient ourselves day by day overlapping dream and memory, what we have been (remember to have been) and what we would like to become».
