Friday October 21 2022 a new one is expected strike in the aviation sector throughout Italy, a protest that will last 24 hours, starting right from 00:00 on Friday. It will be a national strike which, therefore, will create inconvenience in all cities locally, including Naples with Capodichino Airport.
It was proclaimed by Filt-Cgil, Fit-Cisl and Uiltrasporti and includes all ENAV staff, Italy Airways and partly also the employees of low cost airlines Vueling, Easyjet e Ryanair.
Precisely, however, the Easyjet pilots will strike 4 hours from 11.00 to 15.00.
Flights canceled
Ryanair has announced that it has canceled more than 600 flights to / from Italy due to the strike of the Italian air traffic controllers and apologizes to its travelers, who have been notified in time.
Italy Airways plans to cancel more than 200 domestic and international flights.
In any case, during the strike there are protection time slots ranging from 7.00 to 10.00 and from 18.00 to 21.00, in which flights must be guaranteed.

The reasons for the strike
In the joint communiqué of the three trade unions, we read that:
Unfortunately, after several meetings with ENAV's top management, not enough elements emerged to give answers to the numerous problems that we have posed to the management for months now. The application and evolution of the industrial plan, theadaptation of the workforce,organization of work shifts, but above all the definition of the timing and contents of the contract renewal, these are all important elements that have been waiting too long for an answer. For this reason we will continue our protest also with other future actions if they become necessary.
