Amerigo Vespucci returns to Naples, how to book the free visit on board

From To 13 16 May 2025, the port of Naples will host one of the most iconic ships of the Italian Navy: theAmerigo Vespucci, known throughout the world as the "most beautiful ship in the world". The stopover is part of the Mediterranean Tour, a traveling project that celebrates the maritime tradition and culture of our country. During the stop in the capital of Campania, it will be possible get on board for free, but only after booking online.
What to expect during your visit on board
The sailing ship will be moored in the heart of the port of Naples, offering a spectacular view of the Gulf and Vesuvius. The visit will last on average about 25 minutes and will follow a path among the external decks, the masts and the symbolic elements of the ship. It will not be a classic guided tour, but an immersive experience among nautical knots, historical sails, decorative cannons and direct stories from the crew members.

Visitors will have the opportunity to:
- take a closer look at the sailing maneuvers and the historical architecture of the sailing ship;
- walk among the wooden bridges and ladders with rungs;
- discover anecdotes of life on board through direct dialogue with the sailors;
- take suggestive photographs from unique angles of the Neapolitan port.
How to book a visit to Amerigo Vespucci
Access to the ship will be completely free , but it is reservation is mandatory. The Reservations will open from May 3, 2025 and can be made online via the official website of the Amerigo Vespucci Tour or through the Navy's social channels.
The visiting hours will be published soon, but it is advisable to book as soon as possible, given the long waits expected. The experience is particularly suitable for families, school groups, sea and photography enthusiasts.
