Public transportation schedules in Naples change with the summer. ANM has updated its service for the summer season and for Ferragosto ( August 15th ) 2026 , with changes to buses, trams, metro, and funiculars.

This is especially true for the week of Ferragosto (August 15th): on August 15th, surface transport will operate on a holiday schedule, while the metro and parking lots will close early. Here's a breakdown of each service.

Buses and trams will operate on holiday on August 15th.

Surface services , such as buses and trams, are operating according to the summer timetable. On Saturday, August 15th, service will operate according to the same holiday schedule as Sundays.

Chiaia and Centrale funiculars, last ride at 2am

The Chiaia and Centrale funiculars extend their service on Fridays and Saturdays. On those days, the last ride is scheduled for 02:00 AM.

Metro Line 1: Nighttime extensions suspended

On the Naples Metro , Line 1 is suspending its Friday and Saturday night extensions from Friday, August 7th to Thursday, September 3rd. Service will remain normal every day, with the last runs:

• da Management Center for Piscinola pm 23:00
• da Colli Aminei for the Business Center pm 22:36

Night extensions will resume regularly from September 4th.

Metro Line 6 will close early from August 10th to 23rd.

Line 6 will close early from August 10th to 23rd. The last services depart at 13:50 PM, both from Mostra to Municipio and from Municipio to Mostra.

ANM car parks, August closures

The ANM car parks are also changing their hours in August. The planned closures are:

• Monaldi: closed from August 10th to 23nd
• Policlinico: closed from August 17th to 22nd
• G1 and T1: closed from August 10th to 23rd

Season ticket holders will be able to use the L1, L2, and L3 car parks , which are open every day except holidays. Aulisio, Grimaldi, Chiaiano 1, Chiaiano 2, and Scampia car parks remain open.

Elevators and escalators
