From 1870 to today, a journey spanning over 150 years. Antica Pizzeria Da Michele , one of the most celebrated brands in Italian gastronomic tradition, is opening a new location in Aosta , in the heart of the Aosta Valley. The grand opening is scheduled for Friday, July 3, 2026.

A historic venue for a historic brand

The new location occupies the space that for years housed Grumont and Rionda, venues deeply rooted in the city's collective memory. The restyling has maintained the brand's identity, echoing the historic Neapolitan location on Via Cesare Sersale, starting with the greenery that characterizes the brand's image, while also engaging with the Aosta Valley region through the use of local wood in the interiors.

The story: a family of pizza makers since 1870

There's a family story behind the opening: Alessia Caporaso, the brand's partner for the Aosta location, is married to the great-grandson of Michele Condurro , the pizzeria's founder in 1904 (the Condurro family had been cultivating the tradition of Neapolitan pizza since the 70s). "Opening in Aosta means bringing a history of quality, simplicity, and respect for tradition," comments Caporaso. "We want to become a reference point for those who love authentic Neapolitan cartwheel pizza."

Naples in Aosta: ingredients and training

The new location will be in Naples, far from Naples: the pizza chefs were trained at the Michele in the World school in Naples, and the main ingredients (flour, Agerola fior di latte, tomatoes, and olive oil) come directly from Campania. The menu includes classic "cartwheel" pizzas, gourmet specialties, fried foods, and traditional Neapolitan desserts.
