Luca de Fusco Naples Theater Festival

Antony and Cleopatra it is the tragedy of passion, of lust, of instinctive impulses that annul human rationality, generating inner chaos that lead to tragic consequences. The two characters are not tragic heroes but full of ambiguity, whose final death does not transmit compassion but in them prevails the pride, the astuteness, the absence of scruples.

The tragedy has been reread and revisited by the Festival's director and artistic director Luca de Fusco that has transformed it into a scenographic writing of great visual and emotional impact, where the relationship between word and music prevails. Composer of the pieces that act as a dramaturgical carrier is Ran Bathroom, Israeli musician of the Vertigo Dance Company, the dance company that performs for the second consecutive year at the festival with the show Vertigo 20.

- interpreters of Antonio and Cleopatra are Luca Lazzareschi, in the role of Antonio and Gaia Aprea in that of the Queen of Egypt.
