Art Days 2024 Naples Campania: events, exhibitions and guided tours of contemporary art

From 19 to 27 October 2024, returns Art Days – Naples Campania, the widespread manifestation ofcontemporary art that will animate the city of Naples and the provinces of Campania. The event, organized by the association Activate Cultural Project and directed by Valeria Bevilacqua, Martina Campese, Raffaella Ferraro and Letizia Mari, aims to tell and network the local art scene.

The fourth edition is developed around the theme “The Forest of Threads”, inspired by the seventeenth-century collection of fairy tales “Lo Cunto de li Cunti” by Giambattista Basile. Art Days It is a unique opportunity to discover exhibitions, extraordinary openings of museums and galleries, and experience the best of contemporary art in Campania.

Special Projects of Art Days 2024

Among the most important projects of the event, the regeneration of the complex stands out The Most Holy – Community Hub, former Military Hospital, which will open on October 19th with a temporary exhibition event, thanks to the collaboration with the Sof:Art Gallery in Bologna , T293 of Rome. The regeneration, carried out together with the Agenzia del Demanio and the Municipality of Naples, aims to transform the complex into a new cultural center for the city.

Other important participants in the initiative are the Agovino Collection, Dino Morra_Gallery with a project curated by Ernesto Esposito, and the Bartolomeo Gatto Foundation. Another special project is Arbor, promoted by The Bank Foundation, which will be hosted in the Church of San Potito from October 24th. The exhibition will include the works of Federico Guida and the performative intervention of Iaia forte, accompanied by live music by Alessandro Cerino.

The public program of Art Days 2024

As part of the fourth edition of the Art Days, there will be no shortage of seminars, round tables and free workshops. The public program opens on October 21st at theFederico II University with the talk “Cultural Place Branding Through Contemporary Art Festivals”, aimed at exploring how artistic festivals can promote the identity of territories. Tuesday 22 October, the meeting “Museums at the Center” both at Church of San Severo al Pendino will reflect on the role of the museum as a tool for well-being and social inclusion. On October 24, at Morra House, the study day on the Contemporary Art Archives with a meeting dedicated to the theme “Lia Rumma and Peppe Morra: a conversation between art and life”.

Art Days 2024 awards and projects

La fourth edition of Art Days also aims to promote new talents through the WineWise Award – Transformation Methodologies, won this year by the artistic duo Silver PlumeThe prize includes a three-week residency at the Bellaria Agricultural Cellar and the production of a site-specific sculptural work. The work will be officially presented on October 27th during an invitation-only event. In addition, the Generation Award, supported by the collector Ettore Rossetta, dedicated to the students of the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples, with the exhibition of the finalists' works on October 23.

Guided tours and participations

For this edition, Art Days also offers a rich program of Free guided tours.
