Part XIII edition of Astradoc – Journey into the Cinema of the Real at the Cinema Astra in Naples. It is an event that has been repeated for some time now and managed by the association Arci Movie in collaboration with the University of Naples "Federico II", Coinor and Parallelo 41 Reproductions.
First date Friday January 27 2023 at 20:30 at the Cinema Academy Astra with the screening Three Minutes – A Lengthening by Bianca Stigter. The evening will be attended by various guests such as:
- Andrea Mazzucchi, delegate of the mayor of Naples
- Titta Fiore, president of the Campania Region Film Commission
- Guido D'Agostino, president of the Campano Institute of the history of the Resistance, Anti-Fascism and the Contemporary Age "Vera Lombardi"
- Titti Marrone, writer, journalist and president of the Association dedicated to Sergio De Simone
This new edition will be divided into two parts, the first from 27 January to 17 March 2023 and the second from 24 March to 12 May 2023.
Some male and female students they will receive free credits to participate in the screenings of the festival and will be able to make some critical reviews of the films which will then be publicized during the event.
Three Minutes – A Lengthening: the first film
The film was chosen on the occasion of Holocaust Remembrance Day Three Minutes – A Lengthening which tells about the tragic fate of the Jewish community of Nasielsk. The audience present in the room will be able to see a three-minute amateur film in sixteen millimeters found by chance in a wardrobe.
To find that footage in Florida is a man named Glenn Kurtz, the video probably belonged to his grandfather David, who had shot it in 1938 when he was on vacation in Europe. The city itself is Nasielsk, a Polish community inhabited by Jews and the birthplace of David himself.
