On March 8, 2023 at the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa in Naples a beautiful exhibition was inaugurated entitled A beautiful Italian story.

This is a special one photographic exhibition which was set up on the occasion of the first ten years of Fondazione FS Italiane. The exhibition will be open until 11 June 2023.

200 shots will be on display, and thanks to the help of an audio guide guests will be able to admire the evolution of the Italian railways and the change of uses and ways of traveling through time.

The sections of the exhibition

The photographic exhibition at the Pietrarsa Museum in Naples is divided into 5 sections. At the entrance, visitors will be greeted by an animated film that retraces all the images.

The first section it concerns the photo library, the film library, images relating to industrial designs, the library.

The second section entitled Timeless tracks tells the story of the recovery and reactivation for tourism purposes of 12 disused railway lines. An important project, in fact also recognized by the ministry of culture which in 2017 ordered the establishment of historic railways in areas of particular naturalistic or archaeological interest.

The third section or Museums and historical rolling stock workshops instead it tells of all the railway-themed museums in Italy.

The fourth section is dedicated to the Park of historic rolling stock, managed by the Foundation. These are 4 operational vehicles that have undergone a restoration program.

Finally, the Fifth section entitled A look towards the future dedicated to future projects of the Foundation, such as some renovation works of the former ACE cabin of the Roma Termini station.

The photographic exhibition will be included in the entrance ticket to the Museum.
