Avellino Christmas Village 2024, the program of Christmas magic

From 6 December 2024 to 6 January 2025, Piazza della Libertà in Avellino it turns into an enchanting Christmas village with shows, markets, street artists, concerts and tastings. Organized by the Associazione Italia Eventi, the Avellino Christmas Village It is an unmissable event to immerse yourself in the festive atmosphere.

Santa's House and Puppet Theater

Among the attractions most loved by children, the Santa's House, where possible:

• Take pictures and get on the sled.
• Write and send letters with the Arctic Circle stamp.
• Exchange books with the “One for you, One for me” initiative, encouraging reading.

The fun continues with the National Puppet Theatre by Mauro Apicella, who presents traditional shows with Pulcinella and other characters loved by children.

The ice skating rink

An unmissable experience for young and old: the ice skating rink, bathed in sparkling lights and accompanied by Christmas music, adds a fairy-tale touch to the village.

Christmas markets

The market brings together artisans and small producers from all over Italy, offering:

• Typical local products: cured meats, cheeses, wines, truffles, honey and nougats.
• Regional sweets: cannoli, cassata, hot chocolate and mulled wine.
• Unique Craftsmanship: Christmas balls, jewelry, wooden objects and handcrafted ceramics.

Ample space is dedicated to local excellence and the creativity of the students of the De Luca Art High School of Avellino.

Gastronomy and culinary traditions

In collaboration with theManlio Rossi-Doria Institute andAvellino Chefs Association, the village offers the Taste Lounges and Taste Workshops, where leading chefs and pastry chefs, including Luigi Vitiello and Raffaella Valentino, will offer tastings and showcooking dedicated to Irpinian traditions.

Shows and street artists

The program of shows includes:

• - Flag-wavers and Musicians of the State of Diano.
• La Buffoons' barrack with the show “Fleur”.
• Performances by bagpipers, stilt walkers and animated robots BumbleBee.
• Folk groups and musicians such as the St. Thomas Gospel Family , Blues Rock Tino Pascucci Band.
• Evening DJ sets for the younger ones.
