For Christmas 2020 the Zampognari will play in different places in the city of Naples, under the banner of music and traditions!
On the occasion of the Christmas holidays 2020 the GreenCare Award Association has organized, for all the citizens of Naples, a cycle of musical encounters where the traditional Bagpipers they will play in parks and squares of the city.
In particular, the squares involved will be those of Chiaia, Posillipo, Barra, Fuorigrotta, Ponticelli and Rione Sanità, in which the Zampognari will play the traditional Christmas motifs performed with the bagpipe and ciaramella.
The Zampognari in Naples for Christmas 2020
The first appointment will be held Friday 4 December 2020 at 11:00 at the Sound box of the Villa Comunale of Naples, where the president and vice-president of Premio GreenCare, the councilor for the Green of the Municipality of Naples, Luigi Felaco and the bagpipers will be present, including Joseph Mauro.
Six will be the appointments until January 6, 2021, the day of the Epiphany, the last appointment in which the Bagpipers will play at MANN of Naples. In short, a special initiative to give citizens the hope together with the magic of Christmas, in the name of music and traditions.
The program of the stages
Here are the six events and the places where the Bagpipers will play from 10:00 to 13:00:
- 8 December 2020: Chiaia Municipal Villa
- December 13 2020: Virgilian Park in Posillipo
- 20 December 2020: Piazzetta Bisignano Bar
- 27 December 2020: Piazza Italia Fuorigrotta
- 3 January 2021: Parco Fratelli De Filippo in Ponticelli
- 6 January 2021: National Archaeological Museum of Naples
