Beatles in Naples, exhibition for the 60th anniversary of the Italian tour

From 23 to 28 June 2025, Naples celebrates the 60 years since the Beatles' historic Italian tour with an exclusive exhibition set up at the Church of San Severo al Pendino, in via Duomo. The event, promoted by theOfficial Beatles Fan Club Pepperland and sponsored by the Municipality of Naples, offers a journey through time dedicated to the legendary Liverpool quartet and their only appearance in our country.

Two exhibition itineraries to tell the story of the Beatles in Italy and London

The exhibition will be open to visitors free of charge every day from 9: 00 to 19: 00 and will develop along two thematic itineraries. The first is a tribute to the 1965 tour in Italy: among the rarities on display, original tickets from the concerts in Milan, Genoa and Rome, posters from the period and photographs made available by collectors and members of the fan club. The second itinerary, entitled “In The Fog And In The Rain”, collects photographs taken between 1968 and 1972 by a young fan outside the EMI studios and Apple headquarters in London. The images, in Polaroid format and unpublished, testify to the bond between the Beatles and their most loyal fans, nicknamed “Apple Scruffs”.

Special conferences and concerts on June 24th and 28th

The exhibition programme also includes two special events, scheduled on June 24th and 28th from 17:00 pm to 19:00 pm. During the conferences, Louis Hop, president of the fan club and author of the book The Beatles Italian Tour, will retrace the most intense moments of that historic tour. On one of the two occasions a certificate will be delivered Commemorative plaque to Peppino di Capri, an artist who opened the group's Italian concerts.

Following this, the following will perform live: Beat Flowers, a Neapolitan tribute band to the Beatles, and Bruno Panuzzo, representative of the Calabrese fan club, with a tribute to Peppino di Capri. Access to these two evenings will be reserved by invitation only.
