Between New Year's Eve and the Befana 2019 at the Museo del Sottosuolo in Naples, Nightmare before Christmas and Streghe Janare and Benandanti will be staged.
The 29 December 2018 and the 5 and 6 January 2019 al Museum of the subsoil of Naples the incredible theatrical representation of the famous Disney film arrives "Nightmare before Christmas" and also Witches Janare and Benandanti on the archaic origins of the Befana.
On stage at the Museo del Sottosuolo these stories will revive with breathtaking theater performances in the museum's galleries.
Nightmare before Christmas
The most disturbing little men and puppets who live in the city of Halloween come to live in the Museum of the Underground in Naples during the holidays and will become meat and bone to follow Jack Skeleton in his search for the joy of Christmas with choreography born of the collaboration of "The Key of Artemysia" and "The Demiurge".
The shows will go on stage twice daily during the three days that the museum wanted to dedicate to this very interesting initiative. Since the places for this show are limited, it is mandatory to book.
Witches Janare and Benandanti
It is a show that tells the stories archaic origins of the Befana, considered by the pagans and the Romans an old woman who, with her death, concluded the 12-day cycle of the winter solstice. History connects to the Campania cults of the Janare and the Benandanti.
The show will be divided into two parts: in the first there will be a visit to the Museo del. Subsoil and, in the second, we will talk about the change of the Befana cult over the centuries and what the Janare and Benandanti rituals consist of.
