Orange Riviera at the Chiaia Riviera (Naples) Review

Orange

Full review of the local Orange

The place we want to review is located on the Riviera of Chiaia to the number 205, looks pleasantly outside, large transparent windows make it very inviting and give a nice sense of cleanliness and order.

The place

The interior is well cared for, with white tables and a mix of chairs, with an elegant white pattern, and soft armchairs, also white, which makes everything very pleasing to the eye, nothing exceptional, but overall pleasant. The spaces are well managed despite the place being small, roomy but never too narrow, an excellent mix between a bar and a small pub with a grill.

The offer is not too pretentious, the menu varies almost exclusively between sandwiches and meat dishes. Excellent choice for those who want to offer a fast and quality service, it is useless to scatter among three thousand dishes that then come out late and with uncertain flavors.

I must point out that, seen from the inside, the windows turned out to be slightly annoying as it seemed to be "in the middle of the street", giving a feeling of contrast with the warmth and privacy of the closed room. A detail of which we should have been aware but which has nevertheless manifested itself.

Positive note is the "takeaway" service that lowers the prices of sandwiches to € 5.

The order

At the table with:

  • Sandwich: hamburger, provolone, egg and salad.
  • French fries with sausage
  • Water

The menu

It varies from antipasti (called "delicious“), To single dishes with specialty at the plate or on a sandwich. Prices are quite normal, i panini almost all of them stand between 7 and 8 € and are worth as much as a good dinner.

A little grammatically sore point: we were smiled by noticing the words “panini da extruded“, We are not Orange, you should have checked the dictionary before printing the menus .. One wonders if this is the case in all three places!

The offer of "fanciful" is, with the exception of the classic frozen chicken and squid products, almost entirely considered as "homemade" looking at the menu. I must say that tasting them chips they looked frozen. It will be an impression.

Regarding meat I can tell you that, having been there before, the Chianina Burgers are very good, but they avoid the purpose of this column because everyone costs well 14 €, I would have exhausted the evening too soon.

The offer of fish ed salad it is a bit cramped and slightly expensive.

Regarding sodas  the prices are a bit high, 3€ for a coke it is a price by no means proportional to the offer of the place. The impression is that it serves to balance theabsence of a covered, however, highly positive note.

In any case, to keep ourselves in our budjet we kept to the sandwiches.

Our experience

Overall I can premise that you find me enough soddisfatto. The sandwich was very tasty, shame about the burger slightly overcooked on one side, that charred part ruined my last bites.

I requested a variation compared to a sandwich available on the menu replacing one ingredient with another (provola instead of cheese), I did not have surcharges, very good!

The bread was soft and certainly passed on the griddle for a few seconds, a great trick to get the bread to absorb some of the flavor of the meat. Good!

Cost: 7 € after all well spent.

As already mentioned: the chips seemed frozen, but on the menu they were indicated as fresh (or at least as "not frozen") due to the absence of the asterisk. Some were slightly dark on the edge giving us the impression that the oil was not exactly of the day, but not too old-fashioned. Not really great, too bad.

The sausage "attached" to the chips was quality, well cooked, with just the right amount of pepper and really enjoyable to eat.

Cost: 4 €

Conclusions

The total expense was € 13.5.

I can feel satisfied with the evening, the staff were very friendly even if not overly present, the food quite good and the service fast.
