Walking Vic' Vic a Campagna. Food, wine and shows in the historic village

Saturday 11 January 2025, the historic village of Countryside, in the province of Salerno, will host the second edition of Walking Vic' Vic, an event dedicated to the discovery of local flavors and food and wine traditions. From 19:00, the streets of the historic center will be transformed into an open-air stage, with street artists, typical dishes and fine wines. The initiative celebrates the culinary and cultural richness of Campagna, already known for events such as The Church, and offers visitors an authentic experience of taste and beauty.

A food and wine itinerary in the heart of Campagna

The heart of the event will be the food and wine trail that will pass through the streets of the village, involving restaurants and local businesses. Participants will be able to taste the best typical dishes of the countryside cuisine, accompanied by a selection of local wines. Among the specialties offered, you can taste:

• Lagane and chickpeas, a poor dish from the peasant tradition;
• Bhoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, symbol of Campania cuisine;
• Traditional sweets such as the zeppola from Campagna.

The event will be a unique opportunity to discover the variety of flavors that characterize the local gastronomy, prepared with zero-mile ingredients.

An event that anticipates I Fucanoli

Walking Vic' Vic anticipates the start of The Fucanoli, the traditional celebration of January 17th dedicated to Sant'Antonio Abate. In this way, the Municipality of Campagna proposes a series of events to rediscover the historic center and its cultural roots. The event represents a bridge between past and present, offering visitors an immersive experience in the history and flavors of the city.
