Parks, squares, markets and promenades in Campania close during the red zone. Here is the new ordinance of the Region.

Updated: the new ordinance of the Campania Region provides for the controlled reopening of some markets.

The President of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca signed a new ordinance, number 7 of 10 March 2021, which provides further limitations during the red zone.

Specifically, they come parks, promenades and local markets closed from 11 to 21 March, in consideration of the serious epidemiological situation due to the increase in infections from Covid-19.

Parks, promenades and closed markets: all the details

The ordinance provides:

  • from 11 March to 21 March the closure of urban parks, municipal villas, public gardens, promenades and squares, except in the time slot 7.30-8.30. The possibility of access and outflow is granted to open commercial establishments and private homes
  • from 12 March to 21 March is the opening of markets and fairs for retail sale is prohibited, including local and weekly markets and including those that sell food. Shops that are located in or near market areas are excluded, but must be equipped with autonomous toilets limited to the sale of foodstuffs and other activities permitted on the regional territory by the Dpcm of 2 March 2021

The ordinance reaffirms the importance of do not create gatherings and recommends public and private employers to use agile working methods as much as possible. It is also recommended that avoiding all opportunities for contact with people outside their home context that are not strictly necessary and to stay at home as much as possible ".
