Ca'pacciamm Street Fest 2026 in Capaccio: ten years of shows, music, and street food

From 20 to 22 August 2026, starting at 21pm, the historic centre of Capaccio Capital hosts the Ca'pacciamm Street Fest, which this year celebrates its tenth editionThe streets of the ancient village are transformed into an open-air stage with music, art, acrobatics, workshops and book presentations, all with free admission.

The organization isCa'pacciamm APS Association, with the artistic direction of Horace de Rosa The Baracca dei Buffoni. Artisan markets and a food court featuring local products are also on the program.

A decade dedicated to gaming

For this special edition, the underlying theme is a true celebration of play, as artistic director Orazio de Rosa explains: the performances, from music to acrobatics, from dance to storytelling, include moments of interaction with spectators. The festival was founded in 2016, thanks to a project by the Campania Region. “31 Save All” and the encounter with the Baracca dei Buffoni. The event enjoys the support of City of Capaccio Paestum, BCC Capaccio Paestum and Serino, with the collaboration of Le Streghe dal Palco and Mestieri dal Palco, and has Mondodoro as its main sponsor.

The show program

Three travelling bands liven up the evenings, with performances at 9pm, 10.15pm and 11.50pm: Boomerang Orchestra (street band of wind instruments and percussion, over 300 concerts to date) only on Thursday 20 August, Chromosaurus (a giant 5 meter high and 7 meter long stuffed dinosaur on stilts) only on Friday 21 August, Euroband Murgia Altamura (twenty years of performances in the squares of Italy) Saturday 22 August.

• “Hop Hop” by Simone Romanò (circus art, juggling and wordless clowning), from 20 to 22 August in Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Piazza Comune at 10.10pm and 11.30pm;
• “Otto Panzer Show” by Gianni Risola (a pyrotechnic and irreverent clown), Thursday 20 and Friday 21 August in Piazza Orologio at 9.30pm and 10.40pm;
• “Bring me a Dream” by Mana Performing (fire show, a 50s-style love story), Thursday 20th and Friday 21st August at the Barberia at 10pm and 11.15pm;
• “Pulcinella in the history of the king” (guarrattelle and commedia dell'arte), from 20 to 22 August in Piazzetta Lascio at 9.45pm and 11.15pm;
• “Stand Up” by Lino Street Circus (balance with a final on a high unicycle), only on Saturday 22 August at the Barberia at 10pm and 11.15pm;
• “The Fracasso Brothers Fair”, new production of the festival: show, small circus school and wooden games, from 20 to 22 August behind the Barberia at 9.30pm and 10.45pm;
• “In my day… were things better?!?”, a new production that ironically celebrates the years of Millennials and Gen Z, from 20 to 22 August in a touring format at 21 pm and 22:15 pm.

Markets, food area and book presentations

Alongside the shows, the festival offers craft markets and anfood area with a wide selection of local products. Book presentations are scheduled for Thursday, August 20th at 19:30 PM in the Palazzo Tanza courtyard. Raffaele Galardi presents “Storie Minime”, Friday, August 21st Daniela Fear presents “Fragile like you, strong like love”.
