Chinese New Year 2026 in Naples: Dates and Program

Naples celebrates the Chinese New Year with an event open to the city. Saturday, February 28 and Sunday, March 1, 2026From 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m., Piazza Salerno at the Centro Direzionale will host two days dedicated to the Year of the Horse. This program is designed to introduce the public to Chinese cultural traditions through performances, demonstrations, workshops, and culinary experiences.

Traditional dances and martial arts

The heart of the event will be the Dragon and Lion Dances, among the most iconic expressions of Chinese New Year celebrations. Alongside traditional performances, there will be martial arts and Taijiquan demonstrations, parades in traditional dress, and dance, music, and singing performances. This program will bring the colors, movements, and sounds typical of Eastern culture to the square, engaging visitors of all ages.

Flavors, Crafts and Tea Culture

The event will also offer a journey dedicated to discovering Chinese culture through crafts and gastronomy. Participants will be able to taste traditional dishes, learn about various forms of craftsmanship, and participate in calligraphy workshops. Tea culture will also be showcased, with moments dedicated to tasting and learning about a thousand-year-old tradition.
