ZTC activated at Capodichino Airport in Naples: free parking for 15 minutes

All 'Naples Capodichino Airport the Controlled Traffic Zone has been reactivated, after 4 years from its deactivation. This is the area in which, for a very short period of time, it is possible to enter and park for free for 15 minutes, just enough time to allow those who have to leave or those who have recently landed to get off or on the car with their luggage. It is located after the roundabout of viale Fulco Ruffo di Calabria and viale Maddalena.

The ZTC was reactivated thanks to the Enac ordinance 3 starting from 8 August 2022 and is monitored by cameras which detect the precise time used by motorists to stop in the area. The cameras are equipped with digital clocks and are placed in all gates and in all parking lots.

In addition, Gesac, the company that manages Capodichino Airport, it has also opened a new pickup area in the arrivals area, in addition to the ZTC already mentioned. Here, too, parking is allowed free of charge for a maximum of 15 minutes. Furthermore, in the parking P1 you can park for free for 45 minutes.

The fines for those who transgress

Anyone who stays in the ZTC for more than a quarter of an hour will have to pay fines which will also be very salty. They go from 80 to 318 euro.

It must be said, however, that for the former 6 months of activation, no fines will be imposed, in fact they have been suspended for the moment, and if all goes well then fines will start from February 2023.

How to use the free ZTC

The ZTC is located in the arrivals area and has 80 parking spaces. To be able to park for free, simply enter the license plate number of your car in the parking meter.
