A free exhibition on the history of the Province from Unity to the splendor of the Royal Palace of Portici!

Until January 7 2016, as part of the project "We illuminate the monuments inside and out", Promoted by the Metropolitan City of Naples (former Province), will be exhibited in an exhibition with free admission,"The masterpieces of the metropolitan city of Naples ".

The locations chosen for this artistic setting are the Cirillo room of Palazzo Matteotti in Naples and the noble floor of the Palace of Portici. In the first location the artistic path will focus on sculptures and paintings which illustrate the history of the Province from the post-unification age to the present day. In the second room you will relive, through the works of art and the collection of puppets, the glories and the golden times of Bourbon Palace.

The numerous masterpieces that concern the history of Naples and beyond they bear the signature of artists such as Palizzi, Girosi, Altamura and Migliaro. A unique collection, made such by the work of the Province that has acquired the works at Galleries, Biennials, Reviews and auction collections, assembling a rich heritage available to the community.

  • Palazzo Matteotti from 10.00 to 18.00 (Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
  • Palace of Portici from 9.30 to 13.00 (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) and from 10.00 to 18.00 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)
