Sunday January 9, 2022 at 11:00 pm at the Pio Monte della Misericordia in Naples there will be a very special event entitled Caravaggio in 3D: augmented reality arrives.
It will be a really impressive trip which will allow the visitor to immerse themselves completely in art and the magnificent masterpiece of the artist.
An immersive experience in art
Thanks to augmented reality the visitor, using 3D glasses, will be able to take part in a truly exciting experience and admire images, videos and virtual reconstructions that will allow him to experience past ages.
The choice of the place is not accidental, as the Pio Monte della Misericordia perfectly recreates the atmosphere of Seventeenth century, and in fact the visitor will be accompanied on this journey by Giovanni Battista Manso, one of the first governors of Pio Monte, he will then follow The Archiviary and then the same Caravaggio.
At the center of the whole path there will be the painting The seven works of mercy, whose characters will come to life in sequence. The path will then continue inside the structure and the picture gallery.
