Scampia 2016 Carnival: all by bike to break down the borders between peoples

Scampia 2016 Carnival

The appointment with the Scampia Carnival is back with bike routes for children and adults!

The date to mark on the calendar is that of 7 February 2016. The Carnival of Scampia this year, now in its 34th edition, is the result of the collaboration between two non-profit associations: the first, Cicloverdi will guide the participants by bike to the headquarters of the Gridas cultural center, the second, which will take care of conducting the celebrations and the parade, as it has done for more than three decades.

The choice of the bike as a means of transport is not accidental and fits into the broader idea of sustainable mobility and environmental sensitivity. In addition, the Scampia Carnival 2016 has like central themes the rapprochement between peoples and the overcoming of borders.

For this reason it is required, to all children who participate, to wear one sweater in a single bright color: each will belong to a People-color and may be part of the choreography explained during the parade. The different peoples will then pedal together, joining and mingling.

Anyone who wants, can of course enrich his disguise and that of the bike. The cycling route provides different stages depending on the difficulty.
