Montecoricese Carnival 2025: floats, music and party in Montecorice

Il Montecorice Carnival back for his fourth edition, bringing with it an explosion of joy, shows and traditions. The event, organized by the Pro Loco Ortodonico under the patronage of Municipality of Montecorice and the support of a spontaneous committee of young people from the area, will be held on the days of And March 1 4 2025 between Montecorice and Agnone Cilento.

Who is organizing the event?

The event is the result of the commitment of the Pro Loco Ortodonico, local institutions and a group of volunteers who contribute every year to making this event an unmissable moment for the community. The Montecorice Carnival It is an example of collaboration between generations, with the aim of enhancing local folklore through creativity and collective participation.

What to expect from the Montecoricese Carnival

The 2025 edition will feature four allegorical floats, each inspired by a different theme:

• one piece, with a setting inspired by the beloved anime.
• Chinese New Year, for a journey through oriental traditions.
• The Captain – GigiDag, a tribute to dance music.
• Mary Poppins, with the magic and charm of the famous musical.

In addition to the floats, two thematic groups will parade:

• Japan: Anime and Manga, with costumes and references to Japanese pop culture.
• Squid Games, with a reference to the famous South Korean series.

Schedule of events

Saturday March 1

• 14 hours: 00: Opening choreography in Assunta.
• 15 hours: 30: Departure of the parade from Agnone Cilento pier, with a path along the seafront to the square.
• 18 hours: 00: DJ set with Kiko Loco Navarro and Marco Vitolo for an evening of music and fun.

Sunday March 2

• 10 hours: 00 - 18: 00: Exhibition of allegorical floats on the Agnone Cilento seafront.
• 15 hours: 30: Children's party with entertainment, inflatables and masked shows.

Tuesday, March 4 (Fat Tuesday)

• 16 hours: 30: Big parade in the historic center of Montecorice, with floats, extras and travelling shows.
• 18 hours: 30: Closing of the event with DJ set and party in the square.

New for 2025: The Carnival Lottery

For the first time, the Montecoricese Carnival will host aprize draw, to be held Wednesday 5th March at 18pm at the 'Montecorice Council Chamber.

Food stands and local flavours

There will be present throughout the event food and wine stands, with typical dishes of the local tradition to combine taste with celebration. It will be possible to taste genuine local products, made by local businesses and participating associations.
