At the Capodimonte Museum in Naples, the 2022 Carnival is celebrated with a series of events for children that will be organized by Puppet Theater by Roberto Vernetti, from Discover your museum, and from the drawing workshop of Caroline Pyron Objets Inanimés, avez-vous donc une ame?.
Furthermore, the various collections of the museum are always accessible as the Farnese collection, the collection DeCiccio, the Rooms of the Royal Apartment, the section of the Royal Armory and all the others.
You can also visit:
- the exhibition Andrea Bolognino, Blindness, blindness and outrage;
- the one of Cecily brown with The Triumph of death set up in the Museum;
- between the Sino-English Garden and the Late Baroque one you can visit the Church of San Gennaro.

The puppet theater
From February 26th and until March 1st 2022 from 11:00 and until 13:00, at the Monumental Courtyard of the Museum there will be performances of guarattelle by the Puppet Theater
The event is free with no reservation required.
Drawing workshop by Caroline Peyron
Saturday 26 February 2022 from 11:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 17:00 there will be the unmissable appointment with Caroline Peyron's drawing workshop open to everyone.
During the workshop, the inanimate objects present in the works that are exhibited in the Capodimonte Museum will be examined. Here is the material to take with you:
- Loose sheets of any size and thickness with rigid backing
- Bic black pen
- Watercolors with water brushes
Reservations are required and can be made at the following address: reservations@amicidicapodimonte.org, indicating name, surname and mobile number. Participation in the event is free, you must buy only the entrance ticket to the museum. Super Green Pass and mask required.
Discover your museum. Discovering Capodimonte's masterpieces
On February 27, 2022 at 11:00 there will be a visit for all children Discover your museum, to discover the masterpieces of Capodimonte. The event is dedicated to children aged 7 to 11. Reservations are required at the following address: mu-cap.accoglienza.capodimonte@beniculturali.it.
The Triumph of death
From 10 February to 1 May 2022 you can visit the exhibition The Triumph of Death by the artist Cecily brown. The exhibition will be open until 1 May 2022.
Andrea Bolognino, Blindness, Blindness, Outrage
At the Sensitive Meeting Room of the Capodimonte Museum, from 13 January to 15 March 2022 there will be the exhibition Andrea Bolognino, Blindness Blindness, outrage in which the artist's drawings enter into communication with a work present in the museum, that is The Parable of the Blind by Pieter Brueghel the Elder.
On March 13, 2022 there will be a special guided tour with the artist which will be included in the entrance ticket to the Museum. Reservations can be made by sending an email to mu-cap.accoglienza.capodimonte@beniculturali.it, with the obligation of a Super Green Pass and mask.
Activities MUSICAPODIMONTE
On Saturday and Sunday, at the Salone delle Feste of the Capodimonte Museum in Naples there will be piano music concerts by Maestro Rosario Ruggiero, “A special friend”. For information: info.musicapodimonte@libero.it - 376 0198121.
Opening of the Church of San Gennaro
In the Real Bosco di Capodimonte, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 to 16:00 you can visit the Church of San Gennaro redecorated by Santiago Calatrava.
Entrance is price quotation with obligation of Super Green Pass and mask.
