A Barbie mega-house in the Villa Comunale of Naples for the Pink Tour 2013
Fans (big and small) of the most famous doll in the world will be ecstatic at the sight of the 84 square meter Barbie mega-house that stands today inside the Villa Comunale in Naples.
The Pink Tour 2013 kicked off in early September and will stop in five Italian squares and the largest shopping malls. It arrived in Naples this morning and will remain for four days, until Sunday, September 22nd . The enormous Barbie house has been placed in Villa Comunale, between the Cassa Armonica and the subway construction site. As you might expect, it's completely pink, with a portico of white columns, and a smiling blonde Barbie doll can be seen from a window.
Inside, girls and teenagers of all ages will be able to immerse themselves in her world, play with her make-up , discover new products , such as the Dream House, the Camper, the Color Salon, and preview two of her new films coming out on DVD: Barbie Mariposa and the Fairy Princess and Barbie and the Legendary Horse.
Also on display will be some highly valuable, limited-edition collectible dolls , featuring both contemporary looks and characters from the past, selling for between 50 and 200 euros.
Mattel tour manager Simona Cordovani explains: "It's a marketing initiative that will allow families and children to spend some time in the world of Barbie from Thursday to Sunday. Naples was chosen as the destination for the campaign five years ago, and the excellent response we've had from the local population has convinced the parent company to return."
