On Saturday, August 1, 2026, the center of Naples will transform into a giant stage for the 100th anniversary of SSC Napoli. With the Processione Azzurra (Blue Procession) marching through the heart of the city and thousands of fans expected from across Italy, it's important to plan your travels to enjoy the celebrations stress-free.

Pedestrian area in the historic center

The Blue Procession will depart from Piazza Carità and travel along Via Toledo , Via Santa Brigida , Via Verdi , Via San Carlo , and Piazza Trieste e Trento to Piazza del Plebiscito . The entire route, about a kilometer long, will be closed to pedestrians starting in the early afternoon.

The public will be able to watch the Blue Procession from the designated areas along the route, following the instructions of security personnel. The Municipality will communicate final details on transportation, services, and access in the days leading up to the event through the official channels of SSC Napoli and the Municipality of Naples.

How to reach the event by public transport

Metropolitan

Metro Line 1 (Toledo stop): This is the most convenient option. The Toledo stop is located directly along the route of the Blue Procession, just steps from Piazza Carità and Piazza del Plebiscito. The Municipio stop is ideal for the Pizza Village.

Metro Line 2 : the closest stops are Piazza Amedeo and Mergellina, from which you can continue on foot or by shuttle bus.

Funicular

The Centrale, Chiaia, and Montesanto funiculars connect the upper neighborhoods (Vomero, Posillipo) with the city center. The Centrale funicular arrives at Piazzetta Augusteo, a few minutes' walk from Via Toledo.

ANM bus

Several bus lines converge on Piazza Municipio and Via Toledo . It is recommended to check any deviations on the official ANM website (www.anm.it) in the days leading up to the event, as the extraordinary traffic plan may change the routes.

Recommended parking spaces

Given the pedestrianization of the historic center, reaching the area by private car is not recommended. If public transportation is not available, here are the nearest parking lots:

  • Parking at Town Hall Square (underground, a few steps from the Pizza Village and the route)
  • Parking Via Brin (Porta Nolana area, then metro Line 2 or bus)
  • Parking in Piazza Nicola Amore (central, then short walk)
  • Directional Center Parking (parking lot, then Metro Line 1 to Toledo or Municipio)
  • Mostra d'Oltremare Parking (Fuorigrotta area, then Metro Line 6 and shuttle bus)

Useful Tips

  • Arrive well in advance: the surrounding areas will be very crowded from the afternoon onwards.
  • Please use public transport as the centre will be closed to private traffic.
  • Wear a blue shirt and bring a Napoli scarf as required by the club
  • To access Piazza del Plebiscito, free registration is required on TicketOne from July 29th at 15:00 PM. Register in advance.
  • Follow the official channels of SSC Napoli and the Municipality of Naples for last-minute updates on traffic and access.
