ANM, the Neapolitan Mobility Company that deals with local public transport, has announced something new: starting from 17 June 2021 anyone who uses the Central Funicular he will have to obtain an electronic ticket as paper tickets will be eliminated.

It will be a real one digital ticket, therefore, once you have entered the station you will have to bring your mobile phone close to optical reader of the new turnstiles, frame the QR code and that's it, your digital ticket will be validated and will allow you access to the platform.
Digital tickets can be purchased onapp of the Consorzio Unico Campania, up to a maximum of 10 at a time. With the same procedure you can also purchase the season tickets.
The service, now in an experiment at the Central funicular, will then be extended to other funicular stations and Line 1 of the Naples Metro. In short, a first step towards protecting the environment and improving public transport services in the city, not only for tourists but also for the citizens themselves.
