A large 60-meter horn, which can be visited inside and with terraces, is the project that won the call for Christmas 2017 at the Rotonda Diaz in Naples!

Among the proposals for the Christmas 2017 in Naples he won the Red horn high 60 meters, a project presented to the Municipality by the company it has implemented N'Albero on the Lungomare, as we all remember. The new project, however, will be even more linked to Neapolitan traditions because it involves the installation of a great Scaramantic red horn in the Round Diaz.

The idea was therefore put forward by Italstage company, the same that dealt with N'Albero, in response to the public notice of an expression of interest published on the website of the Municipality of Naples. The directive asked, in fact, to make a proposal for the Christmas period for enrich the cultural and artistic offer in Naples and based on popular traditions on the theme "Naples and superstition".

The red horn for 2017 Christmas

Italstage has come forward proposing this ambitious project with a strong visual and architectural impact: a large Iron Horn of 60 meters in height and 30 meters in width, red base, to be positioned from October 2017 to January 2018. It will be so large as to be visible even from Capri.

Like N'Albero, the Horn will be it can be visited inside, with restaurants, clubs and spaces for events, and will be enriched by panoramic terraces along the entire structure, reachable either on foot or by lift. Furthermore, the installation of the structure must be preceded, from 30 September to 12 November, by the positioning of 12 horns of 270 centimeters high along a city route, will be decorated by 12 local artists and made of fiberglass. The aim is to wish everyone good luck.

The theme "Naples and superstition"

The Municipality therefore liked the project, which chose it and is also seeking the collaboration of local associations and consortia to be able to draw up a program of events to cover the Christmas period respecting the theme "Naples and superstition". Our city, in fact, is considered the superstition par excellence, a place where magic, fantasy and superstition are inextricably linked, also becoming one of the engines of tourism in our areas.

The other 2017 Christmas projects

The other projects arrived respectively in the second and third place are a great ice Crib, which, however, was not considered very consistent with the theme of superstition, and a giant pepper. Neither proposal, however, was considered up to par.
