The Royal Palace of Portici in a unique and exciting guise with "Christmas in the Royal Palace 2017". Many appointments with crib exhibitions, Christmas music, markets and Jurassic Christmas!
From 2 December 2017 to the 7 January 2018 the Palace of Portici will host the 2017 edition, the second, of "Christmas in the Palace ". Christmas melodies and a unique atmosphere will welcome visitors who will be able to visit the 40 stands set up for the occasion and taste the gastronomic delicacies and appreciate local crafts.
There will be markets, Christmas melodies and vintage dances to amaze and excite the public. The event is organized by the Department of Agriculture of the 'Federico II' University of Naples and in addition to the Christmas-themed stands will be set up, in the Agraria library, also scientific positions where the researchers of the Department will expose the research carried out.
There are so many appointments in the program and are designed for both adults and children to make these Christmas holidays unforgettable. Crib shows and photography, costume dances, nativity scenes animated by the companions who will act as companions and the highly anticipated Jurassic Christmas.

2 December 2017 event inauguration:
- 17: 00 Christmas Press Conference in the Palace
- 18:00 Stage of historical dance: nineteenth-century period dances with the association "Bourbons is born"
Cribs in the Palace in the Guard Room, from December 3 to 7 January 2018:
- 3 December 2017 inauguration at 11: 00
- from 10: 00 to 19: 30 (excluding 24-25-31 December 2017 and 1 January 2018)
- 9 and 10 December demonstrations of ceroplasty, coroplasty and shepherd dressing
Christmas market, from 8 to 10 December 2017:
- from 9: 30 to 20: 00 Piano Nobile of the Royal Palace: exhibitors of typical products, local crafts, antiques and scientific stands
Agricultural Sciences under the Tree, 10 December 2017:
- from 10:00 to 14:00 in the Department Library to learn about the research topics presented by PhD students, researchers and technical staff. Many projects concerning the environment and biodiversity.
Let's play at the Theater ... with the family, 17 December 2017:

- from 10: 3o the characters of the crib will come to life through a traveling journey between symbols and tradition of Neapolitan Christmas. The shepherds will accompany visitors on this journey that traces history through the rooms of the Royal Palace.
